How to use this checklist: Work through phases in order. Items marked CRITICAL are non-negotiable — skipping them will actively hurt your launch. Everything else improves your odds but is flexible based on your resources.
Phase 1 — Concept & Brand
Before anything technical, your concept needs to be solid. A weak concept with perfect execution still fails. A strong concept with decent execution can succeed.
Concept Validation
I can describe my token in 5 words or fewer and someone instantly gets it CRITICAL
I've identified the specific community my token is for (not "everyone who likes crypto")
I've tested the concept with 5+ people outside my immediate circle — they reacted positively without me explaining it
The concept lends itself to ongoing meme creation — users can make their own content
I've searched my token name and symbol on Solscan and DexScreener — no existing token has this name
The meme/concept is current — not peaked 6 months ago
Brand Assets
Logo is 512x512 pixels, square format, PNG with transparent background CRITICAL
Logo is recognizable at 32x32 pixels (preview it at small sizes) CRITICAL
Token name is finalized — easy to spell, memorable, no trademark conflicts
Token symbol is 2–6 characters, checks out as unique
Token description written (2–3 sentences, captures the concept and the vibe)
Set this up before your token exists. Your community home needs to be ready to receive people at launch moment.
Social Accounts
Twitter/X account created with the token name as the handle (if available) CRITICAL
Profile picture is the token logo, bio includes the concept + "built on Solana"
At least 3 tweets posted before launch (build a history, don't look brand new)
Telegram group created and configured (public, not a channel — needs two-way communication) CRITICAL
Telegram rules pinned, spam protection enabled
Website or landing page live (even a simple one-pager) — shows contract address, tokenomics, socials
Early Community
At least 20 genuine early believers recruited — they know the launch date and are ready to engage CRITICAL
Early community has been briefed on what to post/share at launch
Telegram has at least 5–10 members active before public launch (doesn't look empty)
Phase 3 — Token Creation & Verification
Wallet & Devnet Testing
Phantom or Solflare wallet funded with at least 0.5 SOL (more if you're adding significant liquidity) CRITICAL
Complete creation tested on Solana Devnet first — confirmed it works on your device and browser
Devnet token verified on Solscan — logo shows, metadata is correct
Mainnet Deployment
Token created on Mainnet via CreateMyCoin CRITICAL
Mint authority revoked CRITICAL
Freeze authority revoked CRITICAL
Mint address saved securely — will need it for all DEX and listing steps
On-Chain Verification
Token searched on Solscan — name and symbol appear correctly CRITICAL
Logo appears on Solscan token page
Mint authority field shows as null/revoked on Solscan
Total supply matches what was configured
Phase 4 — Liquidity & Trading Setup
Raydium Pool
Raydium liquidity pool created with SOL as the paired token CRITICAL
At least 2 SOL in the initial liquidity pool (more = better stability) CRITICAL
Initial token price set intentionally — not just left at default
LP tokens locked for at least 30 days using Streamflow or Raydium lock feature
Lock transaction confirmed and lock address saved — can be shared publicly as trust proof
DEX Presence
Token appears on DexScreener (auto-detected after Raydium pool — check after 5 minutes)
Token tradeable on Jupiter (auto-listed after liquidity — verify with a small test swap)
DexScreener URL saved — will be your primary link to share
Phase 5 — Launch Day
Launch Announcement
Launch announcement tweet drafted and ready — includes concept, contract address, DexScreener link, Telegram link CRITICAL
Announcement has a hook — a story or reason to care, not just "new token launched"
Telegram pinned message updated with: contract address, DexScreener link, LP lock link, website
Early community notified — they're ready to reply, retweet, and join Telegram simultaneously
Launch posted in relevant Reddit communities (r/solana, r/CryptoMoonShots) — genuine post, not copy-paste spam
Phase 6 — Post-Launch (Week 1)
Day 1–3
Respond to every Twitter reply on the launch tweet CRITICAL
Post community update tweet (holder count, volume, first milestone) within 12 hours of launch
Meme content posted — shareable content related to the token concept
CoinGecko listing submitted
CoinMarketCap listing submitted
Days 4–7
At least one post per day on Twitter — mix of meme content, community updates, and engagement
Telegram has daily activity — post updates, respond to members, pin milestones
Reached out to at least 3 micro-influencers in the Solana/memecoin space
First-week content plan in place for week 2
Red Flags: 8 Signs You're Not Ready
If any of these are true, delay your launch and fix them first:
- You can't explain your coin's concept in a single sentence without using the words "innovative" or "revolutionary"
- Your logo is a stock photo or a low-resolution image you found on Google
- You have zero community members who know the launch is happening
- Your Telegram group doesn't exist yet
- You plan to skip revoking mint or freeze authority "and explain it later"
- Your liquidity pool will have less than 1 SOL at launch
- You haven't tested the full creation process on Devnet
- You have no plan for what to post in week 2
Conclusion
The tokens that survive are the ones where the team did the preparation work. Not the flashiest concepts, not the largest initial liquidity — the ones where someone worked through every item on this list before going public.
Work through this checklist. When every box is checked, you're ready. Not before.
